 Deputy Area Manager - Debt Management Services - Urban GCL 
 Job Purpose 
The Debt Management Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating the recovery of overdue payments on loans or credit accounts.  Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Achieve collections target by visiting customers and agencies.
  • Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates, along with proper guidelines.
  • Review and track milestones.
  • Ensure legal guidelines are complied with while repossessing products.
  • Travel with Relationship Officers (ROs) as required.
  • Timely allocation of cases to team members.
  • Proficient use of Excel for reporting and analysis.
  • Daily tracking of team members' performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.
  • Daily Risk Report (DRR) management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.
  • Counseling and grooming direct reportees to enhance and polish their skill sets.
  • Manage a team of collection officers to achieve overall targets.
  • Rectify problems encountered during the collection process.
  • Manage average collection reports to monitor and improve collection performance.
  • Legal recovery for Urban NPL (Non-Performing Loans) Wheels (Vehicle Finance), including repo and legal management.
  • Litigation and case management.
  • Compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Reporting and documentation.

  •  Required Qualifications and Experience 
  • Experience in achieving collections targets through field visits and agency coordination.
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate performance, providing regular feedback and guidance.
  • Experience with milestone reviewing and tracking.
  • Knowledge and adherence to legal guidelines for product repossession.
  • Willingness to travel with field teams as required.
  • Skill in allocating cases among team members efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in daily tracking and performance management of team members.
  • Strong record-keeping and documentation abilities.
  • Expertise in handling escalations and resolving customer or process issues.
  • Experience with Daily Risk Report (DRR) management.
  • Strategic thinking for developing and implementing collection improvement initiatives.
  • Leadership in counseling and developing team members.
  • Ability to manage a team to achieve collective targets.
  • Problem-solving skills related to the collection process.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret collection performance reports.
  • Experience in legal recovery, vehicle finance repossession, and legal management.
  • Familiarity with litigation, case management, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Competence in reporting and documentation processes.
