As a Dental Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to dentists and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assisting dentists during dental procedures to ensure efficient patient care. - Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment for use. - Maintaining a comfortable and reassuring environment for patients, with a special focus on nervous individuals. - Providing pre- and post-operative instructions to patients for their care. - Managing patient records meticulously and updating information accurately. - Preparing materials for fillings and other dental treatments. - Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the surgery at all times. - Managing materials and supplies inventory efficiently. - Processing radiographs and impressions to aid in diagnostics. - Assisting with dental laboratory work as required. - Providing patients with oral health information and educating them about dental procedures. - Communicating effectively with patients and collaborating seamlessly with the dental staff. - Maintaining professional standards and adhering to the GDC's code of ethics. - Participating in continuing professional development (CPD) to enhance your skills and knowledge. **Qualifications Required:** - Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure optimal patient care. - Caring and compassionate nature to support anxious patients with empathy. - Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in preparing materials and maintaining records. - Strong organizational skills to manage time and resources efficiently. - Proficiency in using dental software and computers for administrative tasks. - Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. - Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations for professional growth. Please note that as a Dental Nurse, you will be required to complete a certain number of CPD hours every five years as part of your professional development.,
