Dental Assistant

Position: Dental Assistant Job Type: Full-time / Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to support our dental team. The role involves assisting dentists during procedures, providing patient care, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during dental procedures (chairside support) Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before and after procedures. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment. Take and process dental X-rays (if certified/licensed). Provide instructions to patients regarding oral care and post-treatment guidelines Manage patient records and update dental charts. Schedule appointments, handle billing, and manage administrative tasks as required. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures. Perform limited laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions, polishing appliances, and preparing temporary restorations (as permitted). Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; Dental Assistant certification (preferred/mandatory as per region). Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization techniques. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and scheduling. Previous experience as a Dental Assistant (preferred but not always required).
