Role Overview: As a Food and Beverage Cook at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake, your main responsibility will be to prepare special meals or substitute items, regulate oven temperatures, and ensure proper portioning and food presentation. You will also be responsible for maintaining food logs, monitoring food quality, and communicating with the Chef and service staff regarding menu specials and stock availability. Additionally, you will prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklists. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare special meals or substitute items - Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters - Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and food garnish - Maintain food logs - Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared - Communicate assistance needed during busy periods - Inform Chef of excess food items for daily specials - Inform service staff of menu specials and out of stock items - Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards - Prepare cold foods Qualifications Required: - Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree - Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience Additional Information: At Marriott International, inclusivity and diversity are at the core of our values.
