Debt Collection (US Process)

As a US Debt Collections Specialist at a fast-growing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) specializing in Financial Services Accounts Receivable & Consumer Debt Recovery for US portfolios, your role will involve engaging customers via phone and digital channels to maximize recoveries while upholding regulatory and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing account analysis and skip-trace research to locate debtors and update contact information using industry tools. - Managing disputes and escalations by investigating account discrepancies, coordinating with quality teams, and updating account status per client SLAs. - Meeting individual and team collection targets while ensuring high call quality, accurate data entry, and timely follow-up activity. In order to excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications: Must-Have: - Prior experience in US consumer debt collections (BPO or in-house) with proven recovery results. - Working knowledge of FDCPA and TCPA regulations with a strong focus on compliance. - Practical experience with skip-tracing tools such as Accurint or TLOxp and collections platforms like FICO Debt Manager. - Familiarity with predictive/progressive dialer systems (e.g., Five9, Avaya) and ACD workflows. - Strong conversational English skills with clear US-accent comprehension and professional phone etiquette. - Availability on-site in India and flexibility to work US-shift schedules as required. Preferred: - Experience with credit reporting processes and understanding of FCRA fundamentals. - Exposure to high-volume BPO collections campaigns and KPI-driven environments. - Spanish language skills for bilingual collections engagement.
