Job Description

Role Summary

The Shift Lead is responsible for supervising daily operations during their assigned shift, ensuring team productivity, quality standards, and safety compliance. This role acts as the primary point of contact for shift-level decisions, coaching team members, and escalating issues to management as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate day-to-day activities of team members during the shift to meet operational targets

Ensure adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations

Provide coaching, on-the-job training, and performance feedback to team members

Monitor workflow and resource allocation to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime

Perform quality checks and ensure products/services meet established standards

Handle shift-level escalations and resolve operational issues or customer concerns in a timely manner

Complete and review shift reports, logs, and handover notes for the next shift

Assist with staffing needs, including shift scheduling, attendance tracking, and recommending hiring
