Job Description

Abe to appy a ogica, methodica, and anaytica approach to isoate and sove technica probems; and Abe to communicate and to work with other technicians, departments, and customers in technica support situations. Demonstrates and appies greater knowedge of the company’s product. Abe to exercise imited discretion in deviating from standard practice to sove probems within the area of experience. Researches probems and recommends soutions. Assists in the provision of on-job-training. Professionay process and resove asset request cases that support proper accounting for site inventory Maintain site inventory with zero discrepancy through adherence of asset management procedures Inbound and outbound fufiment that enabes achievement of business deiverabes Ensure that any asset defects, damages, discrepancies or deviations are escaated to management for timey support and resoution Abe to work in shift rotations that may incude day, evening, overnight and/or during weekends, hoiday Abe to work in various IBM Coud ocations in Chennai Required education Bacheor's Degree Required technica and professiona expertise 2+ Years of experience. We require physica server hardware experience (Assembing of Servers ike Motherboards, RAM, Hard disk, Raid Controers, network cards etc). OS exp is a pus, emphasis on physica server hardware exposure Responsibe for scheduing and performing hardware maintenances for IBM Coud customers that invove upgrades, downgrades, support requests, etc. Physica hardware upgrades/downgrades referring to Server Hardware ike RAM, Hard drives, Processors, Network cards etc.. Troubeshoot and resove probems with basic physica network cabe/device connections at server/switch/stack for network devices in the Data center physicay. Person must worked in the physica Data center with 100% onsite experience. (NO REMOTE SUPPORT) 24/7 Operations with 100% onsite support (No Remote or On ca support). No specific shifts, Rotating shift schedue Responsibe for responding to UIP reated events around physica infrastructure. Coordinating with interna departments to resove outage events around fauty inks, optics, or faied Networking devices. Physica Infra servers knowedge aong with basic understanding of network devices (Like network phyisca cabing and Optics and inter Connectivities etc) to extend onsite support for the remote Network teams and Network ISPs persone. Outage events are performed under the supervision and guidance of Site Management. Preferred technica and professiona experience May be directed to perform other duties consistent with training and ski eves required for this position. Understand site capacity utiization and provide assistance with Management on capacity panning.
