Position Overview

Databricks Architect

Key Responsibilities

Lead the
architecture, design, and implementation
of end-to-end data solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
Build, optimize, and manage
scalable data pipelines
for structured and unstructured data using Apache Spark on Databricks.
Define, implement, and enforce
data engineering and architectural best practices
across teams.
Collaborate with
data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders
to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Architect and implement
CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices
for Databricks workflows.
Ensure
data governance, security, and compliance
across all data platforms and solutions.
Provide
technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship
to data engineering teams.
Continuously evaluate and integrate
new tools and technologies
to enhance platform performance and efficiency.
Work with
Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud environments
integrated with Databricks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

9+ years of experience
in data engineering and architecture, with a strong focus on Databricks.
Hands-on expertise with
Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Databricks SQL (DBSQL)
.
Proven experience in building and managing
large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines
.
Solid understanding of
data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed computing frameworks
.
Strong proficiency in
Python, SQL, and Spark-based processing
.
Experience working on
cloud platforms
(Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also acceptable).
Strong background in
DevOps practices
(CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, version control, automation).
Excellent
communication, leadership, and stakeholder management
skills.

Good to Have

Experience or working knowledge of
Microsoft Fabric
.
Familiarity with
Power BI, Synapse Analytics, or other modern BI tools
.
Relevant certifications such as:
Databricks Certified Data Engineer / Architect
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect
