Database Engineer

As a Cloud DB Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing data pipelines to collect, transform, and store data from various sources in order to support analytics and business intelligence. Your role will involve integrating data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and third-party tools, to ensure consistency and accuracy across all data systems. You will also be tasked with designing, implementing, and optimizing both relational and non-relational databases to facilitate efficient storage, retrieval, and processing of data. Data modeling will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, where you will develop and maintain data models that represent data relationships and flows, ensuring structured and accessible data for analysis. In addition, you will design and implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to clean, enrich, and load data into data warehouses or lakes. Monitoring and optimizing performance of data systems, including database query performance, data pipeline efficiency, and storage utilization, will be crucial to your role. Collaboration is essential as you will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure that data infrastructure aligns with business objectives. Implementing data quality checks and governance processes to maintain data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant regulations will also be part of your responsibilities.
