The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL and relational databases, with hands-on experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and managing large datasets. Experience with DB2 and Python scripting will be an added advantage. Experience : 5-8 Years Location: Bangalore Key Responsibilities Design , develop, and maintain efficient database solutions to support business applications and analytics. Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting of slow-performing queries. Optimize database structures, indexing strategies, and schema design for better performance and scalability. Monitor database health, perform regular maintenance, and resolve any database-related issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application developers, data engineers, and business analysts. Develop automation scripts using Python for database maintenance and reporting tasks (if applicable). Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational policies. Required Skills and Qualification 5-8 years of hands-on experience in database development. Strong expertise in SQL, Oracle/PL SQL or other relational databases. Proven experience with DB2 is highly desirable. Deep understanding of performance tuning, query optimization, and database troubleshooting. Solid knowledge of database architecture, indexing, and schema design. Exposure to scripting with Python for automation and data manipulation is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The Wissen Group was founded in 2000.
