Job Description

We are seeking a skilled

Database Developer

with strong experience in Oracle databases,

PL/SQL development

, and

data modelling

. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in designing efficient database structures, optimizing queries, and working with complex data types. The role requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain
Oracle database structures
, schemas, and data models.
Create and optimize
PL/SQL functions, procedures, packages
, and triggers.
Work with various data types including
BLOBs, CLOBs, and XML
.
Perform
query tuning
, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
Participate in
database design and modelling
activities using tools such as
Toad Modeller
or equivalent.
Support ETL workflows with a solid understanding of
ETL concepts
and data flow architecture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality database solutions.
Ensure data integrity, security, and high availability across database systems.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of hands-on experience
in Oracle Database development.
Strong knowledge of
PL/SQL
(procedures, functions, packages).
Experience in
database designing and modelling
.
Familiarity with modelling tools such as
Toad Modeller
(or similar).
Experience handling
BLOB, CLOB, XML
and other complex data types.
Solid understanding of
query tuning and performance optimization
techniques.
Good understanding of
ETL concepts
and data integration workflows.
Strong
communication skills
with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Nice to Have

Exposure to data warehousing concepts.
Experience with automation or scripting for database tasks.
Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS, Azure, OCI) is a plus.
