Database Developer

The job involves developing functions, stored procedures, and packages, utilizing external tables, bulk statement processing, dynamic statement execution, bind variables, and ref cursors in PL/SQL object types. You will be responsible for SQL statement tuning, reviewing explain plans, and utilizing optimizer hints. Experience in handling large volumes of data and partitioned tables is essential. Integration with ETL processes and knowledge of ETL tools is required. Coding applications using best practices and proper documentation is expected. Familiarity with Java/J2EE is an added advantage. Unit testing, contributing to design improvement, and product enhancement are part of the responsibilities. You must showcase the ability to understand unique requirements and implement them. Being a self-learner, working independently, and managing tasks effectively are crucial attributes for this role. Skills required for this position include excellent relational database design skills, knowledge of Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, and Maria DB. Understanding of Extract Transform Load (ETL) concepts and technologies, data warehousing tools, patterns, and processes is necessary. Familiarity with scripting languages is an added advantage. Experience with web servers such as Apache Tomcat, JBoss, Weblogic, and any additional web servers is preferred. Knowledge of Java/J2EE frameworks is also considered beneficial for this role.,
