Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator (DBA) at our company, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing databases to ensure performance and scalability for our SaaS-based CRM Platform in the Study Abroad & EdTech industry. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the data backbone of our platform. Your key responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. You will be optimizing database performance, query efficiency, and data storage while ensuring database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies are in place. Collaboration with development teams to enhance database queries and structures will be essential, along with monitoring and tuning database systems for high availability and performance. Database migrations, upgrades, and patches will be part of your routine tasks, along with utilizing Azure Boards for task management and sprint planning. You will collaborate using Git for version control when working with database scripts and ensuring database scalability to meet the growing business demands. Additionally, you will assist developers in designing database schemas aligned with Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in SQL databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, along with experience in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB. Proficiency in database design, performance tuning, query optimization, backup, recovery, high availability solutions, and database security & access control are required. Familiarity with cloud database solutions like AWS RDS, DynamoDB, or Azure SQL is a plus, as well as knowledge of Microservices architecture and integration with Node.js/Angular development. Experience with Azure Boards for task tracking and sprint management, Git version control for branching, merging, and pull requests related to database changes is essential. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills are highly valued in this role. Candidates with experience in database replication & clustering, knowledge of ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and hands-on experience with AWS Database Services are encouraged to apply.
