Job Description

Key Responsibilities Assist in the administration and maintenance of PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle (ExaCC) databases. Monitor database performance, availability, and backups. Support database installation, upgrades, and patching activities. Write and optimize SQL queries, procedures, and scripts. Assist in implementing backup, recovery, and replication strategies. Troubleshoot database issues and work with senior DBAs on root cause analysis. Maintain user roles, access control, and data security policies. Support database documentation, monitoring, and reporting. Required Skills 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and/or MySQL administration. Basic to intermediate knowledge of Oracle DB (preferably ExaCC). Familiarity with backup, restore, and monitoring tools. Proficiency in SQL and scripting (Shell/Python preferred). Good understanding of database concepts, indexing, normalization, and performance tuning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn and grow in a multi-database environment.
