Database Administrator

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with over three years of experience in database management, optimization, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with MariaDB, along with a solid understanding of database design, performance tuning, backup, and recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain MariaDB database systems.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to ensure optimal speed and reliability.
• Manage database security, user access, and privileges.
• Perform regular backups, restorations, and disaster recovery tests.
• Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures.
• Troubleshoot database issues, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions.
• Automate routine database tasks through scripts or tools.
• Work closely with development and DevOps teams to support application and system integrations.
• Maintain documentation for database architecture, configuration, and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• B.Tech, BE / MCA
• 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator role.
• Proven hands-on experience with MariaDB Galera Cluster administration and query optimization.
• Proven Hands-on experience with replication and reverse replication set up.
• Hands on experience with SIEM and DAM integration, user management and RBAC configurations
• Strong understanding of SQL, database performance tuning, and indexing strategies.
• Experience in backup and recovery planning and execution.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments for database deployment and management.
• Knowledge of replication, clustering, and high availability setups.
• Understanding of data security and compliance standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to cloud database management (AWS RDS, Azure Database, or GCP SQL).
• Basic knowledge of shell scripting or Python for automation.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Percona.
• Adaptable to work in shifts and work from office environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹530,122.39 - ₹1,553,588.64 per year
