Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator, you will manage and administer the company's data management systems, ensuring consistency, quality, and security as per Michelin group's guidelines. Your role involves participating in the implementation of databases and automated services for partners, delivering high-performance databases aligned with the company's business requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure adequate backup and recovery procedures for the database. - Implement measures to protect the database against threats and unauthorized access. - Monitor system and database performance, identifying and addressing issues using Grafana & OpenTelemetry stacks. - Provide second-level technical support for all databases. - Respond promptly to user-reported errors or requests. - Optimize database performance by tuning instance settings. - Install and patch databases as required. - Develop automation solutions for recurring tasks and new services through the service catalog. - Generate reports on database usage and performance metrics. - Propose changes and enhancements for database maintenance and security. - Create database instructions and procedures for execution by other analysts or administrators. - Define and enforce norms and standards for DBMS usage and operation. - Collaborate regularly with IT project managers, database programmers, and devops teams. - Serve as a technical liaison between project/product teams and technical support teams. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of experience as a database administrator for Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, with expertise in Oracle Database. - Proficiency in scripting languages such as bash, Python, and automation languages like Ansible. - Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. - Organized, responsible, and capable of working in a team. - Stay updated with trends and developments in database administration.,
