Database Administrator

As an Oracle Database Administrator, your role will involve managing Oracle Database Administration for versions 11g and 12c, including Oracle RAC and Data Guard database administration. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining databases for development, testing, production, and training purposes. This includes database installations, upgrades, and regular patching. You will interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support, register for database alerts, and take necessary actions. Performance analysis and tuning for the database, as well as managing complex Oracle Environments, will be part of your responsibilities. Hands-on experience in Backup and Recovery using RMAN is required, along with monitoring table and index growth for storage allocation. Ensuring the integrity of the database by enforcing and maintaining database constraints, performing database re-organizations, and providing feedback to Development for improvements are essential tasks. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex Oracle issues, with operating system knowledge on Windows, Linux, and AIX. Additionally, you will assist the Application Team in monitoring performance, tuning queries, designing database modules, tuning database code, reports, code deployments, schema refreshes, post-production support, and bug fixes. Data modeling, maintaining standards and procedures, and ensuring database and data security will also be part of your responsibilities. Capacity planning for databases and servers, estimating database sizing, monitoring CPU and Memory utilization, and providing inputs in design calls to avoid duplication are key tasks. Deployment and support activities including preparing rollback scripts, deploying changes in the production environment, and monitoring databases for impacts due to release changes are crucial. Desired skills include proficiency in English with excellent communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, provide 24x7 support when required, and willingness to participate in non-standard working-time models.,
