Data Solutions Architect

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Data Solutions Architect. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing modern data architectures and solutions to meet business needs. This role requires expertise in cloud technologies, data engineering, and application development, with a focus on scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create reference architectures and standards to enable effective solution delivery.
• Implement modern data lakehouse architecture using Delta Lake, ensuring data reliability and performance.
• Design scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks for ETL/ELT processes and real-time data integration.
• Define data models (e.g., medallion architectures) to support structured data processing.
• Design solutions for performance and cost optimization leveraging cloud technologies.
• Develop automation solutions to ensure reusability and consistency across projects.
• Define approaches for data self-service leveraging tools such as Power BI and Databricks.
• Establish Power BI integration patterns to streamline reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with Data Product Managers to determine business-specific application needs.
• Compile and implement application development plans for new or existing applications.
• Lead the application development team, supervising design, testing, and modification stages.
• Demonstrate application prototypes and integrate user feedback to refine solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong expertise in designing and implementing modern data architectures, including data lakehouses and medallion architectures.
• Proficiency in Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Power BI.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and real-time data integration.
• Experience in developing scalable and cost-optimized solutions using cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks and best practices for consistency and reusability.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing application development teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with data modeling and data pipeline design.
• Familiarity with modern software development methodologies and application lifecycle management.
• Strong communication skills to present prototypes and gather user feedback effectively.
