Data Security Analyst

Role Overview: As a Data Security Analyst at our client's company, you will report to the Manager, Data Security Technology and be a part of the Information Protection and Risk Management (IPRM) team. Your main responsibility will involve working with security engineers & analysts to deploy, sustain, and monitor technical controls and tools to meet specific security requirements. Data Security experience is a must for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Build, maintain, and improve Data Security Controls including remediation, data masking, monitoring and logging, classification, and encryption. - Implement and manage security policies using security tools. - Manage and monitor auditing and logging on all Cloud Databases. - Governance of the enterprise the DAM systems and other security controls, including configuration tuning, policy management, and defining escalation criteria. - Automate manual tasks using Python, Java Script, and other scripting languages. - Work with Security teams to tune control systems to meet business needs. - Integrate using API, Connectors, etc. - Support security controls on a daily basis. - Build SQL queries using SnowSql and other SQL languages. - Support Database Security Program reporting using Power BI & Splunk and conduct sensitive data remediation activities. - Assist in security incident response, database security controls with enterprise CSIRT & SOC teams. - Maintain expertise in information security and Data Security Management. - Collaborate with development teams to understand infrastructure needs and translate them into Terraform code. Qualifications Required: - 4+ years of experience working in Data Security/Protection. - Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Java Script, and R Code. - Experience with all Cloud Databases including RDS, NoSql, Data Warehouses, etc. - Working knowledge of SaaS technology & Services. - Familiarity with tools like ALTR and BigID. - Experience with version control systems like GitLab. - Strong understanding of Terraform syntax and best practices. - Ability to document security governance processes and procedures. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to interact with personnel at all levels across the organization. - 5+ years of experience in IT Security & Risk Management at a large bank holding company. - Industry certification preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM). - BS/BA or equivalent experience required.
