The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of relational databases, normalization, data governance, and schema design while ensuring data integrity and scalability. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop Entity-Relationship (ER) models for databases, data warehouses, and data lakes. Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models using tools like Erwin, Visio, Lucidchart, or PowerDesigner. Define primary keys, foreign keys, relationships, cardinality, and constraints for optimal data integrity. Work closely with DBAs, data architects, and software developers to implement data models. Optimize database performance, indexing, and query tuning for relational databases. Define and enforce data governance, data quality, and master data management (MDM) standards. Develop and maintain metadata repositories, data dictionaries, and schema documentation. Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). Support ETL/ELT pipeline design to ensure smooth data flow between systems. Work with big data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or Synapse) to support modern data architectures. Required Skills & Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and ER modeling. Strong expertise in relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
