Data Scientist II

As a Global Data Scientist II at Worley, your main responsibility will be to understand business objectives and develop models to help achieve them. You will be utilizing existing frameworks and standards to create architectural foundation and services necessary for AI applications that scale from multi-user to enterprise class. Managing the Data Science project life cycle from exploratory data analysis to productization will also be a key aspect of your role. You will collaborate with Architecture, Data Warehouse, and Data Governance teams to provide analytics as a service, mentor team members for AI/ML development, and ensure data quality through data cleaning and acquisition processes. Your role will involve defining validation strategies, preprocessing or feature engineering on datasets, data augmentation pipelines, training models, and tuning hyperparameters. You will also be responsible for analyzing model errors, designing strategies to overcome them, and deploying models to production. Development of ML algorithms to solve problems and exploring and visualizing data to gain insights will be part of your daily tasks. To succeed in this role, you should have proven experience as a Data Scientist in AI/ML or similar roles, with the ability to write robust code in Python. Experience in Generative AI components, supervised/semi-supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, cognitive APIs, NLP, image processing with deep learning, and the complete AI/ML project life cycle is required. Strong knowledge of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture is essential. In addition to technical skills, you should possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a cross-domain team. Taking ownership of tasks and being accountable for deliverables will be crucial in this role. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of 4-7 years of experience as a Data Scientist on AI and ML projects and hold a Masters in information technology, Big Data, Data Science, AI, Computer Science, or a related field.
