You are a Data Science Senior Analyst, a seasoned professional who applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflows for the area or function. You integrate subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area, requiring a deep understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function. Your role involves evaluating moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations is necessary. Good analytical skills are vital to filter, prioritize, and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required as you regularly assume informal/formal leadership roles within teams, impacting the performance of all teams in the area directly. **Responsibilities:** - Conduct strategic data analysis, identify insights and implications, and make strategic recommendations. - Develop data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis. - Mine and analyze data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality. - Deliver analytics initiatives to address business problems, determining required data, assessing time & effort, and establishing a project plan. - Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and apply a comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business objectives. - Lead the system change process from requirements through implementation and provide user and operational support of applications to business users. - Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards. - Drive communication between business leaders and IT, exhibiting sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information. - Perform other duties and functions as assigned. **Qualifications:** - 5-8 years of experience in business and data analysis, process improvement, and project management. - Ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques. - Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. - Methodical attention to detail. - Experience using tools for statistical modeling of large data sets. **Education:** - Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
