Data Science Finance Analyst 1

The role of conducting advanced analytics within the Finance business to generate breakthrough insights enabling critical decision making involves building, testing, and improving medium complexity analytics models. This includes descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive statistics. Combining knowledge of data mining, statistical modeling, mathematics, econometrics, advanced concepts, and utilizing big data to generate actionable business insights is essential. The role also includes identifying or setting up new data sources, as well as cleaning and organizing data for analysis. Responsibilities include leveraging Data Science and Digital Skills in conjunction with Finance Business Context to create innovative solutions for business problems. This involves mining data using modern tools and programming languages, developing algorithms, performing small-scale experimentation, building data-driven applications, and translating data into actionable intelligence. Predictive modeling, statistics, and other analysis techniques are utilized to collect, explore, interpret, and extract insights from both structured and unstructured data. Implementing models to uncover patterns and predictions that drive business value and innovation is a key aspect of the role. Additionally, creating data stories using visualization tools/methods, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance, understanding business problem statements and initiatives, and maintaining proficiency within the data science domain are important responsibilities. Collaborating with project teams, keeping up with technology trends, communicating project progress, and supporting priority projects are also part of the role.
