Data QA

Role Overview: You will be responsible for utilizing your strong SQL skills to write complex queries for data validation and reconciliation. Additionally, you will need to have an understanding of relational database design, ETL processes, and data modeling concepts. Your role will involve testing data products or platforms built on Azure SQL and/or Databricks. You should be familiar with testing concepts such as QA, UAT, regression, exploratory, and post-production deployment testing. Your ability to work with datasets of varying complexity, volume, and sensitivity will be crucial. Having a high attention to detail is important for detecting inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data. Effective written and verbal communication skills will be needed for documenting and explaining findings. Key Responsibilities: - Write complex queries for data validation and reconciliation - Understand relational database design, ETL processes, and data modeling concepts - Test data products or platforms built on Azure SQL and/or Databricks - Familiarity with testing concepts such as QA, UAT, regression, exploratory, and post-production deployment testing - Work with datasets of varying complexity, volume, and sensitivity - Detect inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data - Document and explain findings effectively Qualifications Required: - 5-8 years of experience - Strong SQL skills - Familiarity with testing concepts - Prior experience in data platform testing, preferably in financial services or enterprise environments - Knowledge of scripting for automation or test frameworks - Experience with Agile methodologies and tools Please note that this is a permanent position and the work location is in person.
