Key Responsibilities: 1. Developed and Implemented Data Privacy Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive data privacy strategy aligned with organizational goals. Stay abreast of evolving privacy laws and industry best practices to ensure continuous compliance. 2. Compliance Management: Monitor, interpret, and ensure adherence to data protection laws, regulations, and standards. Conduct regular privacy impact assessments and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential privacy risks. 3. Policy Development and Implementation: Create and enforce data privacy policies and procedures across the organization. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to update policies based on changes in regulations. 4. Educational Initiatives: Provide ongoing privacy training to employees at all levels to enhance awareness and understanding. Foster a privacy-aware culture through communication and training programs. 5. Incident Response: Develop and maintain an effective incident response plan for data breaches or privacy incidents. Lead investigations, coordinate responses, and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities. 6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, legal, compliance, and other departments to integrate privacy considerations into business processes and systems. Collaborate with external partners to ensure third-party data processing aligns with privacy standards. 7. Privacy by Design: Promote and facilitate the incorporation of privacy principles into the development of new products, services, and systems. 8. Audit and Monitoring: Conduct regular privacy audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement. Implement monitoring mechanisms to track and report on privacy-related metrics. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors or advanced degree in a related field (e.g., law, information security, or privacy). Professional certification in privacy (e.g., CIPP) is highly desirable. Proven experience in a senior data privacy or compliance role, preferably in a complex organizational setting. In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations.
