Role Overview

We are looking for a Data Platform Administrator with hands-on experience in Big Data and Hadoop ecosystems. The role involves L1 admin and operations support for data platforms, production environments, and Hadoop clusters.

Required Skills (Must-Have)

Big Data Analytics
Hadoop (Cloudera)
Hive, MapReduce
Sqoop
Ambari / Cloudera Manager
Oracle Database
UNIX/Linux
Shell Scripting
Basic understanding of ITSM processes
Experience handling multiple databases
Production support and alert handling

Good-to-Have Skills

MicroStrategy (MSTR)
Informatica

Responsibilities

Provide L1 admin and operational support for Hadoop/Big Data platforms.
Monitor production jobs, alerts, and incidents.
Perform data pre-processing using Hive.
Support Hadoop data ingestion and workflows (Hive, Sqoop, Informatica).
Manage Big Data security and data privacy processes.
Handle real-time data replication in Hadoop environments.
Work with Ranger to manage HDFS, Knox, and Hive security policies.
Support and monitor YARN capacity scheduler.
Follow best practices, standards, and compliance guidelines.
