Data Modeller

• 7+ years of proven experience in data modeling: Demonstrated success in building and maintaining data models for enterprise environments.


• Expertise in Financial/Banking/Credit Union Data Models: Strong understanding of financial data structures, compliance requirements, and industry regulations.


• Proficiency with Data Modeling Tools: Hands-on experience with tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, or other industry-standard data modeling software.


• Cloud Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and hands-on experience with cloud-based data services like Snowflake or Databricks, as well as on-premises systems.


• Strong SQL and Database Skills: Advanced SQL expertise and deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL database management.


• ETL and Data Integration Expertise: Solid understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and integration best practices.


• Experience with Agile and SDLC Methodologies: Proven ability to work in Agile environments and a strong understanding of SDLC processes.


• Data Governance and Security Knowledge: Understanding of data governance frameworks, security best practices, and data quality standards to ensure compliance and data protection.


• Dimensional Modeling Expertise: Proficiency in dimensional modeling techniques, including Star and Snowflake Schemas, with experience designing Fact and Dimension tables, managing Slowly Changing Dimensions, and optimizing surrogate key strategies.


• Understanding of Modern Data Architectures: Knowledge of concepts such as Data Fabric and Data Mesh to enable decentralized data ownership, self-service analytics, and scalable data governance.

Experience with Canonical Data Models: Ability to design and implement Canonical Data Models to standardize data integration and maintain consistency across diverse systems.
