Role Overview

We’re looking for a Data Linguist Intern who can help us improve the linguistic accuracy and quality of our speech models. You’ll work closely with our AI, Product, and Engineering teams to annotate, analyze, and refine speech data—helping our models understand pronunciation, accent variations, and conversational tone.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate model outputs for linguistic accuracy and conversational naturalness.
• Provide feedback on model errors and work with engineers to improve datasets.
• Curate diverse speech datasets across geographies, dialects, and use cases.
• Develop linguistic guidelines and maintain consistency across annotations.
• Support QA processes for speech and NLP models.

What we’re looking for

• Strong interest in linguistics, phonetics, or speech technologies.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Familiarity with multiple Indian accents or regional languages is a plus.
• Basic understanding of speech recognition, NLP, or AI tools (preferred but not mandatory).
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
• Academic background in Linguistics would be preferable
