Senior Data Governance Lead role within Decision Analytics, responsible for driving enterprise data governance initiatives, managing data quality and metadata, and leading a small team. The role partners closely with business and analytics stakeholders to improve data discovery, lineage, and governance adoption across the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities for Sr Business Analyst - Data Governance

• Lead for Data & Analytics Governance Team:
• Develop and implement the data governance strategy, policies, standards, and roadmaps aligned to business priorities alongside full time colleagues.
• Recruit, train and mentor Company's data governance analysts.
• Manage day-to-day governance activities and the teams workload and review colleagues assigned work as needed.
• Provide regular summaries of each colleagues work, capacity, and development opportunities.
• Monitor team goals report progress to stakeholders; identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Contributor to Data & Analytics Governance Initiatives:
• Implement metadata management and cataloging efforts to improve data discovery and lineage.
• Identify critical data elements (CDEs), perform data quality analysis, and implement metadata for investments data sets.
• Analyze and triage data quality rule exceptions.
• Drive change management, communications, and training programs to increase data literacy and governance adoption.

Candidate Profile:

Leadership:

• Proven ability to recruit, manage, and mentor team members.
• Experience allocating and balancing day-to-day workload.
• Stakeholder management, communication, and change management skills.

Data Governance:

• 6+ years experience in data governance

  , data management, or related data roles (senior/lead experience preferred).
• Demonstrated experience implementing governance frameworks, steward models, and policies in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on exposure to governance and data management tools

  (Collibra or similar),

  data quality tools

  (iceDQ or similar).

• Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, master data management (MDM), and data quality concepts.
• Bachelor's degree; advanced degree or certifications a plus.
• Experience and understanding of financial markets and asset management a plus.
