Job Description

As a Data Engineering Manager at NXP, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of skilled Data Engineers to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and data models across multiple platforms. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading, mentoring, and growing a team of Data Engineers to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration - Overseeing the design, development, and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows - Ensuring data solutions align with enterprise architecture standards for performance, scalability, security, privacy, and compliance - Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models - Driving adoption of best practices in data engineering, including code quality, testing, version control, and CI/CD - Partnering with the Operational Support team to troubleshoot and resolve data issues and incidents - Staying current with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and analytics Qualifications required for this role include: - Proven experience as a Data Engineer with at least 12+ years in ETL/ELT design and development - 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role - Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and their data services - Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data transformation and processing - Experience with data orchestration tools and CI/CD pipelines - Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake architectures - Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred skills and qualifications may include experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, Databricks, Teradata, Postgres, Fivetran HVR, DBT, AI/ML workflows, monitoring tools, and data cataloging and metadata management tools.
