Data Engineering Lead

As a Data Engineering Lead at Metyis, you will play a crucial role in driving impactful change for our clients by independently leading and managing data engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include engineering complete technical solutions to address business challenges in digital marketing, eCommerce, Business Intelligence, and self-service analytics. You will collect functional and non-functional requirements, taking into account technical environments, business constraints, and enterprise organizations. Additionally, you will support clients in executing their Big Data strategies by designing and building operational data platforms, such as ETL pipelines, data anonymization pipelines, data lakes, near real-time streaming data hubs, web services, and training machine learning models. Key Responsibilities: - Independently lead & manage execution of data engineering projects - Engineer technical solutions for business challenges in digital marketing, eCommerce, Business Intelligence, and self-service analytics - Support clients in implementing Big Data strategies by designing and building operational data platforms - Troubleshoot and quality check work done by team members - Collaborate with partners, strategy consultants, and data scientists in an agile environment - Share data engineering knowledge through technical trainings - Communicate and interact with clients at the executive level - Guide and mentor team members Qualifications Required: - 7-10 years of professional hands-on experience - Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Distributed programming languages, preferably Spark - Experience in managing and leading data engineering/warehousing projects - Knowledge of Cloud platforms, experience with Azure is a plus - Familiarity with setting up data lakes using the entire Big Data and DWH ecosystem - Experience with data workflows, ETL processes, and Apache Airflow is advantageous - Comfortable with Unix OS, Bash, and Linux - Basic understanding of webservices, APIs, Containers, Docker, and Version Control (e.g., git) - Knowledge of security practices, Agile software development, and object-oriented programming - Strong focus on data processing, data workflows, monitoring, architecture, and security - Proficiency in databases, distributed data processing, and functional programming concepts Join Metyis and be a part of our fast-growing, international, and diverse team where you can make a significant impact while working with highly skilled experts in a collaborative environment.,
