Data Engineer - Senior Analyst

As a Senior Analyst - Data Engineering at EY-Strategy and Transactions - SaT DnA, you will play a crucial role in supporting cloud and on-prem platform analytics and data engineering projects across engagement teams. Your primary responsibilities will involve conceptualizing, designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining complex technology solutions to solve business problems for clients. You will work closely with technical architects, product and business subject matter experts, back-end developers, and solution architects, contributing to the design, development, and evolution of modern data warehousing solutions and data integration build-outs using cutting-edge tools and platforms for both on-prem and cloud architectures. Your key responsibilities will include: - Evaluating and selecting data warehousing tools for business intelligence, data population, data management, metadata management, and warehouse administration for on-prem and cloud-based engagements - Designing, developing, and testing in ETL tool environment - Providing technical leadership to a team of data warehouse and business intelligence developers - Coordinating with other technology users to design and implement matters of data governance, data harvesting, cloud implementation strategy, privacy, and security - Adhering to ETL/Data Warehouse development Best Practices - Responsible for Data orchestration, ingestion, ETL, and reporting architecture for both on-prem and cloud platforms - Assisting the team with performance tuning for ETL and database processes Skills and attributes required for success: - Minimum of 6 years of total experience with 3+ years in Data warehousing/ Business Intelligence field - Hands-on experience in data architecture, data models, and cutover strategies - Experience in architecture design and implementation for on-prem to cloud migrations - Strong knowledge in Azure database offerings and various Azure services - Hands-on experience with relational data sources and tools like PySpark, SparkSQL, and business intelligence reporting tools - Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills To qualify for this role, you must have: - Bachelors or equivalent degree in computer science or related field - Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience in a big 4 or technology/consulting setup Additionally, ideal qualifications include: - Ability to think strategically with a result-oriented mindset - Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to travel extensively - Experience in Snowflake At EY, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of professionals in the only integrated global transaction business worldwide.
