Data Engineer

Role Overview: You will join a dynamic team of business and technology experts at Macquarie, collaborating across teams to ingest data and implement essential liquidity calculations on an innovative platform. Your focus will be on delivering a high-performing, robust, and stable solution that meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Use your data engineering and big data skills to build and maintain data services and pipelines with industry best practices - Develop, test, and support data assets, automate testing and delivery, infrastructure optimization, and help maintain code quality and security standards in a DevOps environment - Participate in code reviews, team activities, collaborate to resolve technical issues, and support process improvements - Skilled in developing configuration-based ETL pipelines and user-interface driven data tools - Analyze business requirements, design data models and pipelines, and present solution recommendations - Proficient in cloud environments (preferably AWS), core cloud services (EC2, S3), Linux, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) - Background in solution delivery within finance or treasury domains, especially Liquidity or Capital, is advantageous Qualifications Required: - 3+ years in a relevant role with experience in big data technologies (Spark, Python, Hive, SQL, Presto), storage formats (Parquet), orchestration tools (Airflow), and version control (Bitbucket) - Skilled in developing configuration-based ETL pipelines and user-interface driven data tools (e.g., Dataiku) - Ability to analyze business requirements, design data models and pipelines, and present solution recommendations - Proficient in cloud environments (preferably AWS), core cloud services (EC2, S3), Linux, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) - Background in solution delivery within finance or treasury domains, especially Liquidity or Capital, is advantageous Additional Details: At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities.
