About the Role

As a

Data Engineer at Olyv

, you ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures using

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

. You ll work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure that our data is clean, accessible, and insightful driving business impact across teams.

What You ll Do

Design, build, and manage
data pipelines
on
Google Cloud (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer, Dataproc, etc.)
for real-time and batch processing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
integrate diverse data sources
and ensure smooth data ingestion and transformation.

Optimize and monitor
data storage, processing, and retrieval
for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Develop and maintain
ETL/ELT workflows
using GCP-native tools and modern orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Cloud Composer).

Implement
data quality, validation, and governance
frameworks to ensure reliability and compliance.

Partner with data scientists and analysts to enable
advanced analytics and machine learning
use cases.

Continuously explore and introduce
best practices and innovations
in data engineering and GCP ecosystem.

What We re Looking For

3+ years
of hands-on experience in
data engineering
(for mid-level) or
5+ years
(for senior).

Deep understanding of
Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer, Dataproc)
.

Strong knowledge of
SQL
,
Python
, and
data modeling principles
.

Experience with
ETL/ELT pipeline development
,
streaming data
, and
API integrations
.

Familiarity with
containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
and
CI/CD pipelines
is a plus.

Exposure to
data governance, security, and monitoring tools
(Data Catalog, Data Loss Prevention, Looker).

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex data concepts clearly.
