Data Engineer

You'll work on end-to-end data engineering solutions, build data pipelines, create data models, and integrate data from a variety of sources into our enterprise data platform using technologies such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Design and implement data pipelines and models across multiple relational databases
• Develop data integration solutions using REST/SOAP APIs and event-based architectures
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and act as a trusted data expert
• Collaborate with product owners and team leads to improve business processes and architecture
• Apply Agile and DevOps practices throughout development and deployment cycles
• Ensure documentation, customer communication, and timely delivery of technical solutions

About the Team

You'll be part of a globally distributed Integration team, working with a Product Owner based in Bangalore. The team focuses on delivering innovative integration solutions for Finance using a lake house architecture. Python and PySpark are the primary languages used for large-scale data processing, with a focus on modern cloud services.

Requirements

• 58 years of experience in data engineering
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and Data Lake
• Strong understanding of relational databases like Oracle, Azure SQL, or Postgres
• Experience with API integration (REST/SOAP) and event-based systems
• Solid problem-solving and communication skills
• Comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
• A desire to continuously upskill and stay current with emerging technologies
