Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Act as a Data Engineer/Developer for Supply Chain data initiatives
Navigate and work within the existing AWS data platform, treating it as a data factory
Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using IBM DataStage
Build data products based on data models provided by architects/designers
Perform data analysis to support development and validate business requirements
Apply strong data development techniques, including:
- Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type 1, 2, etc.)
- Data Quality checks, validations, and reconciliations
Manage and support deployment, scheduling, and monitoring of ETL jobs
Review technical designs and challenge design decisions where development, performance, or scalability may be impacted
Proactively support IT and governance processes, including:
- Opening network ports and access requests
- Participating in change management and change boards
  - Supporting TDA / data architects and solution designers
Troubleshoot and resolve data, ETL, and production issues
Create and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines and processes

Ideal Candidate Profile

8+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development
Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage (Parallel jobs, Sequencers, performance tuning)
Experience navigating AWS environments used as enterprise data platforms
Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data integration
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
Proven experience in data modeling concepts and working from predefined data models
Hands-on experience implementing SCDs and Data Quality frameworks
Understanding of job scheduling, deployments, and production support
Ability to analyze data and translate requirements into technical solutions

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Supply Chain domain (procurement, inventory, logistics, planning)
Exposure to cloud-native or modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift)
Knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting
Familiarity with CI/CD practices for data pipelines
Experience with data governance and security standards
