Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain
ETL/ELT pipelines
using
PySpark, Python, and Azure Data Factory
.
Build and optimize
data lakes, data warehouses, and big data pipelines
on Azure.
Work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, and Business Stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Implement
data governance, quality, and security
best practices across all data platforms.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for scalability and performance.
Stay updated with
emerging Azure data services
and best practices in big data engineering.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years
of proven experience in
Data Engineering
.
Strong programming skills in
Python
and expertise in
PySpark
.
Hands-on experience with
Azure Data Services
(Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, etc.).
Proficiency in
SQL
and working with relational as well as NoSQL databases.
Experience in
data modeling, data warehouse design, and performance tuning
.
Knowledge of
CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices
.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an agile environment.

Good to Have

Exposure to
Kafka, Event Hub, or other streaming platforms
.
Experience with
machine learning pipelines
or integration with ML/AI models.
Familiarity with
Docker, Kubernetes
, or cloud-native data solutions.
