The Team:
The EDO (Enterprise Data Organisation) Data and Distribution Platforms division is dedicated to developing platforms that facilitate data acquisition and onboarding while supporting cross-divisional product creation. They provide a variety of distribution channels, including warehouse-based solutions, files, and APIs tailored to different customer use cases. Furthermore, these platforms are designed to enable AI-driven distribution.
The Role:
As a Product Manager for S&P Global's Distribution and Data Platforms, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering innovative producer-facing interfaces that allow producers to onboard and configure data, define packages, and provision users. This position is responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, timely execution, and roadmap for our API and UI components, ensuring that our offerings remain competitive and aligned with market demands.
The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of user needs and business objectives, particularly in the context of data onboarding and configuration. As a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, the Product Manager will prioritize features, manage the product backlog, and drive the agile development process to deliver results on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand, analyze, document, and sign-off on business, functional, and non-functional requirements specific to producer-facing interfaces.
- Communicate a clear product strategy, roadmap, and set of features that convey the product vision for onboarding and configuration interfaces.
- Participate/lead in project sizing, planning, and tracking activities related to the development of APIs and UI components.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements for the onboarding process, facilitating sign-off across stakeholder groups.
- Understand the business needs of producers and communicate these to technology teams; present technology solutions back to the business.
- Produce detailed business and functional feature definitions based on existing systems, previous drafts, and SME interviews.
- Demonstrate the ability to use a broad range of business analysis skills, methodologies, and techniques, including Gap Analysis and Use Case modeling, specifically for onboarding processes.
- Assess the impact of changes in requirements on technology systems/infrastructure and ensure changes are documented and communicated effectively.
- Work closely with Development and Testing teams during testing cycles to ensure implementation meets requirements.
- Utilize analytical tools to develop workflows and cross-functional process flow diagrams for the onboarding and configuration processes.

- Proven expertise in agile methodologies, particularly in the context of product development for data-centric environments.
- Experience as a Product Owner or similar role focused on data onboarding and configuration, preferably within financial services or technology sectors.
- Proven ability to lead and manage project teams across diverse geographies, juggling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and delivering results without formal authority.
