Data Base Administrator

As an ERP Database Administrator, your role involves overseeing the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of PostgreSQL databases supporting the ERP system. You will collaborate closely with IT teams, developers, and end-users to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the ERP applications. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and upgrade PostgreSQL database servers and related applications. - Design and implement database schemas tailored to ERP requirements. - Monitor database performance and implement necessary changes to enhance efficiency. - Develop and manage SSIS packages to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the data warehouse. - Ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple systems. - Analyze and optimize database performance to ensure high availability and reliability. - Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring efficient data retrieval and processing. - Implement and maintain database security protocols, including user account management and data encryption. - Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and organizational integrity. - Develop and manage backup and recovery plans to prevent data loss. - Work closely with IT and development teams to integrate ERP systems with other applications. - Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding database functionalities. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies. - Generate regular reports on database performance, usage, and security compliance for management. - Design and deploy SSRS reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on PostgreSQL databases. - Experience managing databases within ERP systems is highly desirable. - Experience with SSIS for ETL processes and SSRS for report development. - Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and BI methodologies. - Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL. - Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, performance tuning, and optimization techniques. - Experience with database backup, recovery, security, and integrity. - Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding. - Experience with DBA tools and utilities specific to PostgreSQL.,
