Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Data Architect with 10 to 15 years of experience in designing and implementing data solutions using Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of cloud computing principles and architecture, as well as experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines.

Roles and Responsibility

Participate in the development of Database Architecture and Roadmaps to support business strategies.
Collaborate with development teams to migrate on-premise databases to various Azure data stores.
Engage in design sessions, demos, prototype sessions, testing, and training workshops with business users and other IT associates.
Liaise with offshore teams and clients to resolve technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
Guide and work with Data Engineers to create ADF & Databricks data transformation pipelines.
Implement data security at Storage and data movement layers.
Develop strategies for data cleansing, transformation, and optimization for storage according to business and technical requirements.
Automate tasks and deploy production-standard code (with unit testing, continuous integration, versioning, etc.).

Job Requirements

Experience in designing and implementing data solutions using Microsoft Azure.
Understanding of cloud computing principles and architecture.
Proficiency in Azure data services and tools, such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
Strong programming skills in languages like SQL, Python/PySpark, or PowerShell.
Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
Familiarity with Source Control Management systems like TFS/GIT/SVN.
Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance best practices.
Experience in the retail domain is an added advantage.
