Knowledge Center India (KCI) is the central engine that drives the operational value for the firm. Established in , KCI has evolved over the years from purely operational efficiencies into more value-added service offerings, becoming a true business partner. There are various teams based at KCI that work with Global Offices, Practice Groups, and the Management across all aspects of the firms business life cycle. With a headcount of more than 500, the center has 5 core teams working including Experts, Research Operations, Visual Solutions, Projects/CV Capture and Digital IT, working round the clock on many mission critical elements.

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Data Architect with a minimum of 12 years in designing, architecting, and coding enterprise-grade data solutions. The ideal candi will have deep expertise in the Azure ecosystem, including Azure Databricks, Data Lake, Delta Live Tables, and Lakehouse architecture. Should have hands experience implementing stream, batch and hybrid (lambda) pipelines. This role requires a strong technical foundation, architectural vision, Knowledge of Modern data architecture and the ability to lead the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy
- Define and drive the data architecture roadmap aligned with business and analytics goals.
- Design scalable and maintainable Lakehouse architectures using Azure services.
- Establish best practices for data modeling, storage, and processing across structured and unstructured data.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and architectural patterns.
Technical Execution
- Lead the development of data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Delta Live Tables.
- Architect solutions leveraging Azure Data Lake Storage, Delta Lake, Azure Functions and other Azure-native services.
- Ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance across platforms.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of data solutions.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Analytics, Product) to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Manage multiple data platform initiatives from design to deployment.
- Present architectural isions, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in data architecture, design, and coding.
- Proven expertise in the Azure ecosystem, including:
- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
- Delta Lake / Delta Live Tables
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, PySpark and distributed data processing frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and data orchestration tools.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing principles.
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect).
- Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, MLflow, or Apache Spark.
- Exposure to data mesh or multi-agent architectures.
- Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure ML and Azure Synapse is a plus.
- Good to know other cloud platforms like AWS, GCP and their respective data services.
