Data Analyst - SAS/ SQL

Role Overview: Global Decision Management is a global community focused on driving data-driven transformation across Citi in various functions to provide actionable intelligence for business leaders. As part of the Digital Control Monitoring team, you will be supporting CBORC (Consumer Business Operation Risk & Control) in preparing Asia consumer business for audits by identifying control gaps, policy breaches, and providing data evidence for audit completion. Your critical areas of support will include Internal Audit, Sales Practice, AML, and Branch Oversight Function. Key Responsibilities: - Identify cases of control gaps, policy breaches, and provide data evidence for audit completion - Support Internal Audit by ensuring banking products & services comply with controls & policies and reporting any violations to the CBORC team - Monitor Sales Practice to identify potential unfair & deceptive practices by Relationship Managers and report to CBORC team - Identify instances of AML incidents or transactions and report to CBORC team - Ensure branch operations align with policies and guidelines, reporting any inconsistencies to the Branch Oversight Function team Qualifications Required: - Possess analytical skills with expertise in data analysis, data quality, and formulating analytical methodology - Proficient in identifying inconsistencies, anomalies, and patterns in data - Ability to generate actionable business insights and develop automated techniques to remove false positives - Familiarity with tools and platforms such as SAS, SQL, Teradata, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and VBA - Understanding of banking domain including Cards, Deposit, Loans, Wealth management, Insurance, audit framework, data quality framework, and risk & control metrics - Strong soft skills including problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, process/project management, mentoring, and ability to work across multiple functional areas - Proactive approach in problem-solving with attention to detail - Educational background of MBA/Master's degree in Economics/Statistics/Mathematics/Information Technology/Computer Applications/Engineering, or BTech/B.E in Information Technology/Information Systems/Computer Applications - 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in delivering data quality solutions, with at least 1 year of experience in the Banking Industry (Note: Additional details of the company were not provided in the job description),
