Data Analyst (Power BI and Microsoft Fabric)

We are seeking a Data Analyst with a minimum of 3+ years experience to design and develop enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, while performing data analysis to deliver actionable insights. The role involves building scalable data models and pipelines, leveraging multiple data sources, and presenting findings to stakeholders in the US and UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
• Build complex DAX calculations including time intelligence, evaluation context, and optimization strategies.
• Design star-schema analytical models with clear lineage, relationships, and storage mode planning.
• Deploy and manage BI assets in Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric: workspaces, dataflows, pipelines, datasets, and refresh strategies.
• Optimize platform performance using VertiPaq understanding, query folding, compression, and memory/storage logic.
• Implement governance and security including RLS/OLS, metadata, and MDM practices.
• Follow visualization and UX standards for clarity, accessibility, and business usability.
• Build reports using SAP BI, SSRS, and Power BI Paginated Reports
• Work with Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouses, and Data Pipelines to support scalable data engineering workflows.
• Design and maintain data warehouses, marts, and lakehouse models to support long-term reporting needs.
• Analyze large datasets from SaaS/Cloud systems such as Maximo, Azure, DB2, and SAP.
• Explain PBIP vs PBIX vs PBIT and apply version control practices for Power BI projects.
• Integrate Power BI with Power Apps and automate workflows where required.
• Deep understanding of incremental refresh, query folding, R/Python integration, governance workflows, and deployment pipelines.
• Lead client discussions, requirements gathering, and presentations, particularly with US/UK stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Power BI development experience across DAX, modeling, Power Query (M language), and Service operations.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric data components and pipelines.
• Strong SQL capability; familiarity with Python or R for deeper analytics.
• Ability to translate data trends into recommendations and business narratives.
• Strong communication, documentation, and client-facing capability.
• Experience working with data sources (Maximo, DB2, Azure, SAP).
• Exposure to predictive analytics or forecasting techniques.
• Experience with Power BI paginated reporting, SAP BI, SSRS and enterprise BI governance.

Qualification

• Minimum 3+ years of experience delivering enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technology or analytics discipline.
