Cyber Security Specialist

Role

To ensure the secure design, development, and deployment of applications by integrating cybersecurity best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The role will provide security guidance to development teams, perform code reviews, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

3–4 years of experience in application security or secure software development.

Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices, and software security principles.

Hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, and penetration testing tools (e.g., Fortify, Burp Suite, SonarQube, Checkmarx).

Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

Experience in cloud application security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Relevant certifications preferred: CEH, CSSLP, OSWE, GWAPT, or equivalent.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
