Cyber Security Intern

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cyber Security Intern to join our IT security team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in protecting digital assets, identifying vulnerabilities, and learning real-world cyber security practices in a professional environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting in monitoring and analyzing security alerts and logs, supporting vulnerability assessments and risk analysis, helping implement and enforce security policies and procedures, conducting research on current cyber threats and trends, assisting with incident response and forensic investigations, testing and evaluating internal security tools and software, documenting security processes, findings, and recommendations, as well as participating in training sessions and security awareness programs. To qualify for this role, you should be currently pursuing a degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Additionally, you should have a basic understanding of networking, firewalls, and security protocols, familiarity with common operating systems like Windows and Linux, knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred skills for this role include familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, or Splunk, basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, etc., and certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH (in progress or completed).
