We are looking for someone to- manage technical discussions with senior members of technical teams to assess their applications backup architecture and compatibility with our resilience solutions on-premises and on Azure lead workshops with the owners of critical business applications to build a holistic view of the applications architecture to enable strategies to making the applications resilient provide leadership for recovery testing for both cloud and on-premise hosted applications and support the documentation of recovery runbooks operate in a team of colleagues who are globally distributed and work collaboratively to ensure success for the resiliency requirements for the bank support the development of the documents and other artefacts as required for the wider resiliency practice As part of our journey to make our most critical business services resilient to cyber-attacks, UBS is seeking a Senior Technical SME Analyst to join our Cyber Recovery Testing practice in Group Operational Resilience. You will be based in either London, U. K. Zurich, Switzerland, or Pune, India but will work with our technology and business colleagues in APAC, India, Poland, the United States, and other global locations. This role is highly visible to the business and Tech Services leadership teams and provides the opportunity to build and develop relationships with a wide group of stakeholders across both business and technology. strong communication skills to hold discussions with senior technical staff extremely strong collaboration skills to work across multiple teams, including GOTO - Tech Services, GOTO - CDIO, GOTO - CISO, and business stakeholders a good understanding of application backups; additional knowledge of common backup infrastructure like Commvault is a bonus a strong appreciation of application architecture and the underlying infrastructure components supporting business or technical applications the ability to read architecture diagrams, review technical documentation, and extract relevant information for application backups the ability to develop a big picture view of the banks critical infrastructure components such as Networks, Active Directory, Application Access Controls, etc. , and understand their impact on business applications an understanding or desire to learn Azure technologies, define applications Azure resources, backup capabilities using Recovery Services Vault and Backup Vault, and assess compatibility with existing Azure solutions for immutability
