Customer Support Engineer - India

Role Overview: As a Customer Support Engineer at VAST Data, you will be a key part of the technical operations and escalations team. You will work closely with customers to address and resolve technical issues, provide hands-on support, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Respond promptly to customer support issues, utilizing hands-on-keyboard skills to troubleshoot and resolve problems effectively - Collaborate with a small team of Support Engineers and Success Managers to handle post-sales activities for customers - Perform field services such as installations, upgrades, break-fix, and expansions as needed - Manage and escalate Feature Requests and Bugs to product marketing and development teams - Advocate for customer priorities, track bugs and feature requests, and ensure continuous improvement for customers - Support VAST data account teams on technical status and activities - Balance workload to meet KPIs and SLAs while prioritizing customer satisfaction Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer-facing roles with complex storage solutions - Ability to manage time efficiently and adapt to changing priorities - Strong knowledge and experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, and storage - Proficiency in Linux system administration and networking configurations - Proficiency in bash scripting and familiarity with other programming languages - Experience in file systems and scale-out NAS implementation - Knowledge of S3 and high-performance computing is an advantage - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Preference for candidates with hands-on lab and hardware management experience - Preference for candidates with experience in a dynamic startup environment - Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, CE, EE, or related fields - Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time - Rotational weekend shifts and occasional holiday coverage required (Note: No additional company details were provided in the job description),
