As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance with the company’s products or services. You will provide exceptional customer care by responding promptly and professionally to inquiries, resolving complaints, processing transactions, and fostering strong customer relationships. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty by managing the complete customer service process and collaborating with internal teams to improve service delivery.
1. Key Responsibilities
Listen attentively to customer's concerns and handle complaints, returns, or requests with professionalism.
Communicate clearly and effectively with customers in-person, via phone, email, chat, or social media.
Provide detailed explanations of products and services to customers.
Receive and process orders, payments, and returns accurately.
Document all customer interactions and follow-up as necessary to ensure resolution.
Collaborate with sales and other departments to develop better methods for addressing customer issues.
Maintain and update customer accounts, ensuring information accuracy.
Monitor customer satisfaction levels and recommend improvements.
Escalate complex issues to supervisors or relevant departments when necessary.
Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay current on products, services, and customer service best practices.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed (such as filing, data entry, maintaining records).
2. Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred).
Previous customer service experience is a plus (typically 1-2 years).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
Proficient in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and basic computer applications.
Active listening and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
Works well independently and as part of a team.
