The Role

Role involves managing and optimizing IT infrastructure- good at providing analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally figuring it out. This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.

There are two halves to this role: First, contributing to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems. And second, long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution. This role isn't specific to any one platform, so you'll need a good feel for all of them. And because of this, you'll experience variety and growth at Kyndryl that you won't find anywhere else.

• Act as a liaison between Japanese-speaking clients and internal technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
• Provide IT support, troubleshooting, and solutions for technical issues related to software, hardware, networks, and systems.
• Translate technical documents, reports, and user manuals from Japanese to English and vice versa.
• Participate in IT projects that involve Japanese-speaking clients, ensuring that requirements are well understood and met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, network, and support teams) to deliver quality IT services and solutions.
• Provide training to team members in Japanese as necessary.
• Assist in creating and updating technical documentation, ensuring they are accessible in both Japanese and English.

Required Professional Experience

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an IT or technical setting.
• Fluent in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) and English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in IT systems, including networks, hardware, software, and troubleshooting.
• Experienced in handling client communication and negotiations.
• Excellent in Japanese skills both translation and interpretation
• Proven hands-on experience in SCRUM or Project Management.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, databases, or programming languages is a plus.
• Experience with IT service management tools (e.g., Service Now, Jira).

Preferred Professional Experience

• Certifications in Japanese language proficiency JLPT N2 or above
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical individuals
• Experience in working with Japanese clients or in a multicultural team is preferred.
• Knowledge of Mainframe domain.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
