Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Curtains and Blinds Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for visiting residential and commercial clients to expertly measure, install, and repair a wide variety of window treatments. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with excellent handyman skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. You will ensure that every installation is completed to the highest standard of quality and safety, enhancing the comfort and aesthetics of our clients' spaces. Key Responsibilities Pre-Installation & Planning: Travel to client sites (homes, offices, etc.) to conduct precise window measurements. Assess the window type, wall material, and surrounding area to determine the best installation method. Review work orders and confirm all necessary parts, hardware, and window treatments are present and correct. Provide professional advice to clients on the best installation techniques and potential challenges. Installation & Fitting: Expertly install a wide range of window coverings, including: Curtains and Drapes (various rods and tracks) Venetian, Vertical, and Mini Blinds Roman, Roller, and Cellular Shades Shutters and Cornices Safely and securely mount hardware into various surfaces (drywall, wood, concrete, steel). Use appropriate tools such as drills, levels, stud finders, and measuring tapes. Ensure all installations are level, secure, and operate smoothly. Handle all products with care to avoid damage. Customer Service & Communication: Provide a professional and courteous experience for clients at all times. Clearly explain the installation process and answer any client questions. Address client concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain a neat and tidy work area, cleaning up thoroughly after the job is complete. Post-Installation & Quality Control: Conduct thorough testing of all installed items to ensure proper function. Make minor adjustments and repairs as needed. Instruct the client on the proper use, operation, and maintenance of their new window treatments. Collect payment or obtain signatures for completed work orders as required. Administrative & Safety: Manage inventory of tools, hardware, and supplies in the company vehicle. Complete and submit all required paperwork, such as service reports and time sheets, in a timely manner. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle. Qualifications & SkillsRequired: Proven experience (1-2 years) as a curtain/blind installer, handyman, or in a similar construction/installation role. Proficiency in using hand and power tools (drills, saws, levels, stud finders). Strong understanding of basic math and geometry for precise measuring and leveling. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Physical fitness: ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work overhead for extended periods. Outstanding customer service and communication skills. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. High school diploma or equivalent.
